I've tried everything...

I've been doing a color correction on a client for 2 visits now. The problem is her hair literally turns red at the root with 6 n.She is a natural level 7 so we are not lifting to expose the underlying pigment. So I then tried a 5 ash mixed with 5 n , at root for 5 minutes and it's still just red.She just wants ash brown roots to ends now but if hot roots happen even at a level 5, I'm at a loss. The strangest part is that the hair we filled with 8rc and then put the 6n on is like the perfect drab…See More

"Hi Sani.  Thanks very much for your reply.  To make absolutely sure and to create more of a clean slate, we ended up using Alfaparf's Super Meches+ No Ammonia to lighten 2 levels and to get rid of the warm tones.  We agreed we…"

"Was her hair previously colored black or it was virgin hair? Usually my clients with dark hair I apply the lightener and when I finish all the back hair I go trough it and reapply the product again.  Make sure it is well covered so…"

"Thanks.... It is very important to understand the hair structure before any hair service. Not many professionals pay attention to it. Porosity is the one of the most crucial when performing hair chemicals if you don't pay attention to it he…"

Making Gray Hair Blonde

Making Gray Hair Blonde

At first thought, it probably seems like making gray (non-pigmented) hair blonde should be a very simple and straightforward process. It would seem that you just mix any blonde color you desire; simply apply it, re-growth to ends and you're done.…

Hot roots

What formula you would use after bleaching level 2?

I have seen a lot article on you tube about COLOR CHARM TONER 18. This toner uses 20volume and the mix is 1 part color and 2parts developer.  I learned from your class that real toner is not mix with any developer.  So David can you please tell me how true this is? And please tell me what formula I should use to tone down  the hot roots on level2 after bleaching.

Thank you so much.
