I bought the David Velasco books and got them last week and just can't put them down !! I have been doing hair 20 years and got serious about hair color about 12 years ago, this education is the best out there bar none !!! So if you have been doing color for many years & think you might no all there is about hair color my advice is to purchase these books and you will see just all that we need to learn is in his education !!! Thanks David for giving us the info. you've learned through the years !!!

why i hate employing people

This week after another good stylist leaves my salon, and a lack of ability to recruit more it would seem, either because there simply are not enough hairdressers out there, or im toxic and  word has got out and nobody wants to come work for me, 

Im just tired of dealing with this in a cyclictic fashion every 2 to 2 1/2 years. Out of 7 staff 1 was on maternity leave for 39 weeks just come back, another has now gone on maternity leave for 39 weeks, and another will go in a few months…
